Burj Khalifa

This image shot at 7.04pm local time, we’re getting some lovely light evenings at the moment, it was pretty hot, I was sweating buckets and dodging tourists, I also had a battery failure at one point, but I was determined to get the light – the 10-15 minutes of sunset ‘right’ light – the blue/black, security were getting a bit edgy with me also, i smiled and acted like a tourist, it seemed to work. I wanted some up to date images for One Day Six Cities

In the left corner is the Burj Khalifa – presently, the worlds tallest building featuring the sculpture, titled ‘Together’, celebrating the uniqueness of Arab culture. Sculptured by Syrian artist Lutfi Romhein, ‘Together’ features an Arab couple dressed in the iconic white dish-dasha and black kandoora in typical Emirati style – this sculpture was added recently to downtown – a new addition.

This is my first (well overdue) blog post too, hello world! Oh! Don’t forget to hover over the image to see the originally captured file (unedited.)
