God’s Own Country

This image is shot at F9, shutter open for 6 seconds, ISO 200, 24-70. I’ve pulled the fill light a tiny bit in Lightroom and boosted the saturation slightly, that is all… The blue us amazing isn’t it?!

I’m just back from a week in Kerala, the land of rivers and backwaters. A few days in Allepey on a house boat, then a few days in Cochin for a wedding.

In Kerala you experience freshness and touch of mother earth every where – trees and greenery like you’ve never seen. India during monsoon is something to experience, it rained most of the week interrupted regularly with spots of sunshine – couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect!

A Houseboat cruise in kerala backwaters is the perfect antidote to the dusty hot city of Dubai… Just you, a chef, 2 boat drivers and Paddy fields, endless rivers, pretty villages, good books and perfect company to share it with made every day a treat.

Then a short journey to the bustling Cochin – in the district of Ernakulam for a beautiful wedding and… yes, the sun came out right on time.
